Health Hope at UCLA

We are two UCLA students building something simple: free health workshops, real mentorship, and screenings for communities that have been overlooked. No corporate backing. Just us showing up.

We kept seeing the same thing — people in our communities falling through the cracks. Not because help didn't exist, but because nobody brought it to them.

When we got to UCLA, we realized we had something valuable: knowledge, connections, and the energy to actually do something. So we started Health Hope. Because we think a 15-minute conversation about diabetes prevention can genuinely change someone's life.

We are still early. Still growing. But every flyer we hand out and every student we mentor gets us a little closer to the LA we want to see.

Programs that go to the people.

We do not hold events and hope the right people find us. We partner with organizations, go to underserved neighborhoods, and bring health education directly to the people who need it most.

From Our Founders
"We believe the future of healthcare should look like the communities it serves. Our goal is to make sure the next generation has the mentorship and exposure to get there."
— Rami Hemadeh and Daniel Oh

The people behind Health Hope.

Two students who decided the best way to address healthcare inequity was to stop talking and start doing.
